After 34 years of working in and with Call Centers around the world, I am very much aware of the current level of stress in the industry. I started out in reservations for an airline, then trained and opened call centers overseas, and finished my Call Center career as a Manager for a Call Center in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Huge Call Centers were sent overseas and the opportunities here in the States were limited for those looking for other jobs.
Pensions from Call Centers are pretty much non-existent now. Time was when you could count on a good pension, but the trend of benefit reductions and pay cuts has virtually eliminated pensions in this field.
