What is an Entrepreneur?

The unabridged dictionary states:  “a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, esp a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk.”

This is an excellent definition.  Now, let’s take a look at the term “risk” as it relates to an entrepreneur.

Considerable risk is relative to the business venture.  Some entrepreneurs refuse to take any financial risk, and seldom succeed at any level.

Others, take risk then change their minds later.  They seldom succeed at any level.

Then you have those (like me) who take the stand they would rather risk losing everything than take the chance of not achieving their dream.

Entrepreneurs must think differently

A true entrepreneur is so focused on the goal, all other options are completely off the table.  Look at any highly successful person.  They did not just play it safe.  They decided what they wanted, took chances and succeeded.  Yes, they may have had some losses along the way, but the end result is all that matters.

Entrepreneurs must also focus only on what they know their future holds, absolute success.  They do not look back and say “what if” or “I should have” or “I could have”.  They take every result, good or bad and see it as moving them closer to their goal.

If you are the type of person who is going to determine your possibilities only by your past performance or circumstances, then owning your own business is probably not for you. 

An entrepreneur must get out of their comfort zone and be willing to do “whatever it takes” to make their vision a reality.”

In my business, I only work with people who are true entrepreneurs.  People who are willing to think big and step out of their comfort zone.  This is people who see wealth and success in their future and know they just have to reach for it.  These are true entrepreneurs.
