I hope it going well and you have incorporated the first 10 suggestions. Now we step the level (and the results) up a little:
11. Submit your website to the major search engines. There are various ways to do this. You might choose to manually enter your site into the major search engines. You can do this by visiting each search engine, locate the “Submit Site” button and then list your site manually. Or, you might choose to use a listing service. This is what I do. I have been with the same listing service for over 2 years and have been quite pleased. Feel free to check them out. Go to Traffic Seekers Online at this link for more information.
12. Create a Sitemap. If you maintain your own website, the easiest way to create a sitemap is to go to XML Sitemaps . You can create a sitemap right on this website. The instructions for loading to your website are also there. You will then want to go to Google Webmaster Tools to index your sitemap into Google. Once it is indexed here, other search engines will pick it up. If you do not maintain your own site, then speak with your webmaster and request a sitemap to be created.
13. Add a signature to all outgoing email with your business and website link. All Email clients have this option available. You can use numerous signatures and choose the one you need with each email if you like. You never know when someone you know will forward an email to a friend who needs your service. I like to include famous quotes in mine. Here is what my current signature looks like:

14. Use PPC advertising. All search engines offer pay per click advertising. Adwords (Google) is of course the most popular. I will do a complete lesson later on about PPC and adwords. For right now, just a few words of warning. PPC can be extremely cost effective but be very careful as the costs can sneak up on you.
15. Add a Bookmark This Site button to your website. If you maintain your own site, your publishing software should offer a feature to insert a bookmark. If you have someone else managing it, ask the webmaster to insert it to your site for you.
16. Have a Tell a Friend form on your website. The instructions are the same as above.
17. This is a no-brainer. You should focus on capturing the names and emails of people who visit your website. Two ways I recommend are: give a freebie away (getting the email address) or have your visitors sign up for a newsletter or ezine. (Lots more on ezines and newsletters later on)
18. Hold a contest to keep your visitors coming back to your site You will be amazed how fast a contest spreads. It will have a life of it’s own.
19. Add an RSS feed. Really Simple Syndication will give your readers an opportunity to bookmark your website into their most popular sites and get updates every time you add content. The easiest way to get started with RSS feed is Google Webmaster Tools where you can get the code for Google Reader very quickly.
20. Submit your site to Website Directories This can be a very time consuming task, but it works very well to get you traffic. Because it is so time consuming, I use a great online program called Submiteaze. I highly recommend Submiteaze. Just follow this link to learn more.
